This story takes the reader into the action of the first losing battle of the German General Rommel, better known as 'The Desert Fox'. The first battle of El Alemein was small by comparison to the second, but it was far more crucial to the Allies. If it had been lost, the Germans would have almost certainly taken Cairo and linked up with forces coming south from Russia to encircle all of the Medeterranian basin.Who knows what that would have done to change the course of world history?
